Whose side is the mediator on?

Your mediator is completely impartial ...

Your mediator treats everyone as individuals, and as such, endeavours to find an outcome that benefits each of those individuals equally. As a couple that have likely shared a home, when they separate, that home must separate too, and finding accommodation that is suitable for each individual is of paramount importance – it is likely that some compromises will have to be made on both sides, and your mediator is trained to help you do that, and to find compromises that really work.

Equally, each child will have their own individual needs and desires, and again, your mediator is skilled in helping to steer the conversations to be able to make sure that each of those needs and desires is discussed, and is as close to met as possible as the family separates.

By implementing co-operation, sensitivity and the ability to apply the fine details to self-designed solutions, it has proven that this approach garners stronger results, increasing the likelihood that agreements will be adhered to, maintained long term and it also has the added benefit, very importantly, of avoiding unnecessary costs for clients.
