Your mediator is financially and resource literate and able to help couples from all socio-economic backgrounds. Qualified to be able to work confidently with couples from all faiths and with clients from same or mixed sex couples.
Your family mediator has access to, and connections with, many national and local organisations, volunteer run groups and professional societies too, that she will be happy to sign post you to for extra help and support.
She'll help to steer you through the whole process, encompassing the financial, emotional, and practical issues, including housing and property decisions, with childcare and the wellbeing of any young or vulnerable members of the family that are to be impacted by the relationship ending being at the forefront of all discussions and negotiations.
During mediation, you will also be offered advice, support and guidance around the often forgotten sides of a break up, for example, how to talk to children and young people about what is happening, notifying extended family, friends and colleagues and how each party can extricate themselves with as little damage as possible so that they feel able to move on with their lives as individuals.
