What is Family and Couples Mediation?

Legal Definition

Mediation is an informal, confidential, flexible, and non-binding process in which an impartial person called a “mediator” helps the parties to understand the interests of everyone involved, and their practical and legal choices.

Our Definition

Family Mediation is a robust, intelligent and forward thinking approach for separating couples and families to find real solutions to practical, emotional, financial and housing problems, without the need to go to court.

Mediation is often a quicker, smoother, less formal, less antagonistic and less expensive way of navigating this very common circumstance that many families, often unintentionally, find themselves in.
